35 years ago social workers and industrialists of Indore established the Sadachar Samiti. They started the meal packet scheme for destitute and poor people in the 1400 bedded government M.Y. Hospital in Indore, India. They went around the hospital from one patient’s bed to another and gave food packets for Rs.1 to the attendant and family of the poor patients. The org. started with distributing 100 packets daily in one hospital. But today, Sadachar Samiti distributes more than 2000 packets daily in M.Y. Hospital and 5 other charitable hospitals of Indore. They also distribute the food packets in 10 different areas of the city through their own distribution channels to the needy and poor.
